The 5th Artúr Days Festival of Szerencs Attracted 40,000 Visitors
This year, for the first time, the Mária Kopp Institute also took part in one of the largest summer events of the Zemplén region, the 5th Artúr Days Festival of Szerencs. The event was officially opened by Dr. Balázs Hankó, Minister for Culture and Innovation, and Dr. Zsófia Koncz, State Secretary for Families.
Dr. Balázs Hankó underlined that, as a result of the “family-friendly tax revolution,” families will retain around HUF 4,000 billion in tax allowances over the next four years. From July 1, the infant care fee (CSED), the child care fee (GYED), and the adoption fee have all become exempt from personal income tax, while the family tax allowance has increased by 50 percent. Families will directly experience the positive effect of these benefits as the new school year begins in September.
Dr. Zsófia Koncz emphasized that the Szerencs festival is not only about concerts, but also about families, with a wide range of activities such as puppet theatre, children’s concerts, and traditional craft workshops. At the same time, it also offers young people excellent opportunities to relax and have fun.
Over the three days, the festival attracted around 40,000 visitors. At the stand of the Mária Kopp Institute, visitors of all ages were welcomed throughout the weekend with games, different publications, and prizes to ensure memorable experiences for both children and adults.
