KINCS Smart Family Award 2021
On the International Day of Families, the Mária Kopp Institute for Demography and Families (KINCS) announces a startup competition entitled KINCS Smart Family Award 2021.
The aim of this unique initiative is to create as many Hungarian innovations as possible that make the lives of families easier and contribute to the application of smart family solutions and thus to the greater well-being of families.
Any sole proprietor, micro, small and medium-sized enterprise based in Hungary that is already in the market entry phase or at least has a prototype can apply.
You can apply by filling out the application form and by attaching a one-page introduction.
In 2021, startups that provide innovative solutions to the changed life situation caused by the coronavirus epidemic with their product or service will have an advantage.
Applicant startups are invited to apply by August 15, 2021 in the following six categories:
- Social and community innovations for family relationships
- E-Health - new medical technologies to keep families healthy
- Education of the future - modern educational technologies for different generations
- Smart family homes - including multi-generational houses and apartments
(energy, water, heating, defense, green technologies, environment, etc.) - Family budget - financial awareness in the family, financial technologies
- Music and creative solutions for the family - opportunities for entertainment and development in quality time spent together
Applications will be assessed in several stages.
Following the semi-finals in September 2021, from the finalists in early November 2021, the Jury will select those it deems worthy of the award.
Members of the Jury: Katalin Novák, Minister for Families; Éva Hegedűs, President and CEO of Gránit Bank; Jörg Bauer, President and CEO of the Tungsram Group; Marcell Béres, Director of Innovation and Portfolio Management of Béres Pharmaceuticals Ltd.; Péter Ratatics, Director of MOL Hungary; Prof. Dr. Petra Aczél, senior researcher at the Social Future Research Center, professor at Corvinus University of Budapest; Gergely Nagy Böszörményi, founder of Brain Bar, Head of Design Terminal and Tünde Fűrész, President of KINCS.
The budget available for remuneration is HUF 6 million.

Best Female Entrepreneur Special Award
Award ceremony is planned to be held at the KINCS Smart Family Festival at the end of November 2021.
