Reconciliation of work and family life is one of the topics of the German-Hungarian Forum
The German-Hungarian Forum, entitled Youth, Dialogue, Future took place in Berlin between 9-11 September 2019. The 30th anniversary of the opening of the border to East German citizens gave a special importance to the conference, which was jointly opened by Hungarian and German Foreign Ministers Péter Szijjártó and Heiko Maas. The following people gave speeches: Wolfgang Schäuble, President of the Bundestag, László Kövér, Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, Judit Varga, Minister of Justice, Zoltán Balog Minister and Katalin Novák, Minister of State for Family and Youth Affairs.
During the Forum of active participation of German and Hungarian young people, one of the workshops has discussed the reconciliation of family and working life. The discussion was moderated by Balázs Molnár, Vice-President of the Maria Kopp Institute, who introduced Hungarian family policy measures to support the family formation of young people and the labour force participation of parents with young children.
