South Korean experts learned about best practices in Hungarian family policy at KINCS

A delegation from the Republic of Korea’s Gyeongnam Institute Policy Organisation for Strategic Future Researches visited KINCS to learn about Hungarian family policy measures and their practical results.

South Korea is actively working on ways to address the demographic crisis, taking international experiences into account. In this spirit, a delegation from the Republic of Korea’s Institute for Strategic Future Researches (Gyeongnam Institute) visited KINCS in early May to learn about Hungarian family policy measures and their practical outcomes.

The guests were welcomed by President Tünde Fűrész, Dr. Árpád József Mészáros, Vice President for Strategy and Coordination, and Kriszta Kállay-Kisbán, Head of the International Bureau, who presented KINCS’s research activities and role, as well as provided a comprehensive overview of Hungarian family policy.

During the professional consultation, the South Korean delegation expressed particular interest in those elements of the family support system that provide targeted assistance to residents of small towns and help retain young people in their local communities.
